Adjectival compounds
quickinfo

All compounding resulting in an adjective involves a second member which is an adjective itself. Nouns, verbs and adjectives may act as first members. Endocentric compounds is the most usual type; a part of them can be classified as univerbations. In pattern AA we also find coordinating compounds. In addition, all patterns also have a special type which displays an intensifying function; these are called elative compounds.

Adjectival compounds may have various stress patterns. These are also dealt with in the topic on stress in adjectival compounds in the part on phonology.
